Hotel Casa Chuldian

Good people.

We stayed for the December long weekend. The hotel looks well cared for and family run, which makes the poor details even more disappointing. The room had almost no Wi-Fi, and the signal barely reached anywhere else in the hotel either. There was no cell service, so we were cut off and couldn't even check the route for the next day. Other reviews have already raised the Wi-Fi issue, and it doesn't seem to have been addressed. Breakfast was another letdown: low-grade cold cuts, factory-made pastries, and stale bread. One night we also ate at the hotel. The menu described a "Valley Burger," but for €10.50 we got a burger with just four fries and poor-quality meat. The €6.50 "Valley Bravas" came as plain potatoes without any sauce at all, despite being described as having mild brava sauce. I felt cheated and ripped off. It's a shame, because the hotel itself is nice. More care with the service and small details could make the experience much better.

We spent three days here and the service was excellent. The breakfasts had a good range of choices, though I missed having a microwave for warming milk and some homemade pastries instead of the mass-produced kind. The spring mattresses made sleeping a little difficult, but otherwise everything was fine. We'll come back.

The beds were very uncomfortable, with springs pressing into you, and the shower barely had any pressure. Wi-Fi was almost unusable because the signal was so weak. At breakfast, grated tomatoes were left uncovered and started oxidizing, with hair and other bits able to fall in. There was also a cat roaming around. I understand being animal-friendly, but each pet should stay in its own room.
