Getting checked in was easy, with temporary parking for the car, and the parking itself is right there via an elevator. The receptionists were really friendly and helpful. Our beds and pillows were comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and well set up. The room also had a locker and small fridge. There was no coffee machine in the room or coffee bar in the lobby, which was disappointing. The buffet breakfast, though, was delicious and had plenty to choose from. It's a clean, cozy hotel about a five-minute walk from the Plaza Mayor.

The location is good, and the room, though old, was functional and had the basics for sleeping. I found hair in the bed. Noise carried clearly from the bathroom, outside areas, and neighboring rooms, and machinery ran continuously all night. Reception didn't have earplugs. One woman at the desk was rude and unprofessional. I'm describing what happened rather than making a complaint, but the hotel didn't meet what I expect from a 4-star property.

The private parking was very useful, even with its rather peculiar entrance, and the hotel is right in the city center, close to everything. Staff were very friendly and helpful, the place was clean, and breakfast was very good. The bathtub is slippery, and the grab bars are positioned too far away to help. That seems like an obvious liability and something that could be fixed before it leads to an expensive crisis. Also, in 2025, open WiFi? It's a bit slow and hangs for a minute now and then.

Our junior suite gave us room to relax in the lounge with shop-bought snacks and watch TV on Christmas Eve, and the bed was super comfortable. Housekeeping kept everything immaculate. The showers are over the bath and a little tricky to use; hopefully walk-in showers will replace them someday. Knowing that beforehand wouldn't take away from the stay. We booked breakfast for Christmas Day, and it was good quality with lots of choice. The rooms look a little tired in places, but at the price we paid, it still felt luxurious. There's some noise between rooms even with few guests, so light sleepers may need earplugs, though it wasn't excessive or late at night. The staff were welcoming, friendly, professional, and very helpful. We loved our Christmas 2024 stay: the hotel is in a great spot for visiting the city, on a relatively quiet street with a fountain. It made for a relaxing visit, and we'd stay again. We wish all the staff a wonderful 2025.
