The owners and staff are what made Hotel Rector so special. Their enthusiasm for welcoming guests really came through, and there were thoughtful touches everywhere: teddy bears for the kids, Bulgari eau de toilette left on the beds at turndown, French butter at breakfast, fresh flowers in the bathroom, and a free bottle of champagne. The whole hotel is beautifully decorated with artwork and lovely furniture. Rooms are spacious, with high quality linens and great toppers, modern bathrooms with Bulgari amenities, and non-alcoholic minibar drinks included in the room price. Cookies and sweets were there too. Breakfast was superb, with top quality products, from avocados and a wide range of extra virgin olive oils to salmon and eggs made to order. We left absolutely overwhelmed. We'll be back for sure. Truly recommended!

The small notes and surprise gifts during turndown were a lovely touch. We just finished a magical stay in Salamanca, and Hotel Rector was superb, one of the best hotel experiences we've had. The staff were amazing, the quarters quaint, the setting quiet and intimate, and breakfast was good. I'd recommend it to anyone coming here who wants to be pampered. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

The hotel was pristine, beautifully decorated with modern and older works of art, and the art even carried through to the garage and gym. Carlos and Ignacio greeted us right away and took care of everything, often anticipating what we needed. Before we arrived, the hotel had messaged to check that our room temperature would suit us. The location is superb, the restaurant delicious, and the service impeccable. This may be the nicest hotel experience I've had. I highly recommend staying here.

For the price, this was a really strong stay. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and stylish, and the whole place ran smoothly. The location worked perfectly too. Service was impeccable, one of my best hotel experiences in a long while.

Even though my Salamanca visit was short, I already know I’ll come back and stay at Hotel Rector again. The team made me feel welcome, especially Ignacio, Carlos, and Roberto, who were all incredibly helpful. On check-in morning, I even got a WhatsApp with the local weather and the room’s air conditioning temperature, asking if I wanted it adjusted before I arrived. Such thoughtful hospitality, and a very comfortable stay in a wonderful city. See you soon!
