The staff were lovely, and the bedroom and breakfast were both excellent. I had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. For me, it was a 10/10, helped by the hotel’s great location.

The breakfast was excellent, and the air conditioning and running water were good. The location is the real strong point. The hotel itself feels average and old, though, and customer service could be better. There’s no parking on site, so they direct you to Colon parking at 20 euros a night. I’d pay a little more for somewhere with parking included.

The view from our room was lovely, with a local church and snow capped mountains in the distance, and it was quiet and comfortable for sleeping. Hotel Rua is also perfectly placed for exploring. We only ended up there because another hotel messed up our booking, and we arrived on the day of the great European blackout, when everything was a bit chaotic. The calm, friendly welcome was such a relief. The staff were amazing and gave us loads of useful tips for food, bars, and sightseeing. What a find.

Adrianna at reception made our stay especially memorable. Her service and recommendations were wonderful, and she’s such a lovely person, she really deserves a raise. The rest of the staff were great too. Salamanca has so many restaurants, bars, and shops all around, and the location is hard to beat. I’d happily come back just for the team.

Right in the center of Salamanca, with a top location and helpful, polite staff. There’s paid parking close by.
