The Mercado nearby is a proper Spanish marketplace, handy since breakfast isn't served. The old town's right there, and you can catch the sun on the roof terrace. The host was funny and the place was nice, with good value for money. The double bed was very narrow, though, and came with just one long pillow.

Parking was hard to find, but the location made getting into town easy. The street was quiet and the rooms comfortable. José Luis was welcoming, friendly, and helpful, and there was a simple continental breakfast. I'd stay again.

Everything was easy to reach from the Palomares, with shops and restaurants close by and the beach about a 10-minute stroll away. Jose was warm, helpful, and clearly cares about his guests. Our room was cleaned daily, and the bathroom hairdryer was a nice surprise. The air conditioning worked great. We loved our stay.

The bed in my room was really comfortable. Don't let the word hostel put you off, it felt more like a 3* hotel. The breakfast was the one weak spot, pretty basic: coffee, orange juice, and toast.

The beach is about a 10-minute walk away, and breakfast cost 5 € and was good. We had a really nice stay in a very clean, welcoming place.
