The apartment was grimy and had a sewage smell, so after two hours we were moved to another room. Its mattresses smelled awful too. We had one small towel each, all stained, and during our two weeks there nobody brought fresh towels or sheets. The pool was full of hair, and there was no toilet nearby, which was especially difficult with small children. We also had to pay a €130 deposit and clean the apartment to get it back. We asked staff to inspect the place with us and return the money then and there, but they refused. We arrived to find the hotel closed and couldn't check in. Never book here.

It's clean enough, but the apartment feels worn out and needs attention to justify the price. The kitchen cupboards have had their day, the lounge could use paint, and the bedroom light fittings are loose on the wall and need replacing. The bathroom needs some TLC too. There's no kettle, toaster or hairdryer.

The place was filthy and smelled bad. They took a €50 deposit per person from my card and didn't return it when we left. There was tourist tax too, and they wanted €30 to use an iron and hairdryer. Stay away.

Our apartment, 517, was nice enough, but the pool is closed before June, so I wouldn't choose it for an earlier holiday. It doesn't really feel like a holiday place.

Although the apartments are called Royal, there's no sign to identify them. It also wasn't clear when booking that you need to get off at the Rentemar registration office. The bus driver doesn't announce it as Royal Hotel or apartments.
