Apartamentos Spa Aqquaria

The apartment was okay, the staff were friendly, and street parking was free. But we could hear all the neighbors, and garage parking cost an extra 10€. I booked this place for the pool and hot tub, only to find they were open for just a few hours and required a hair cap costing 4€ each. For our family, that meant another 20€ to use the pool for two hours, which was irritating. Checkout is listed as 12, but housekeeping buzzed us at 11 and asked us to leave. If the hours are different, the policy and website should be updated. As a travel agent with plenty of hotel experience, I was disappointed. I won't return or recommend it to my clients.

Getting around was easy from here, with the beach about a 10 minute walk away and PortAventura around 15 minutes on foot. The complex has indoor and outdoor pools. The outdoor one, open from 11am to 9:30pm, suited us, but the indoor pool and gym only ran from 2pm to 9pm, which is limiting if you want an early swim or workout. The staff were lovely and helpful throughout, especially Fallou. He was incredibly friendly and patient, spoke English, Spanish, and French, and went out of his way to help us. The place was decent, though some of the sheets had visible stains and the cleanliness could have been better.

A great base for families, friends, or work trips in the off season, with loads of amenities. We had our own parking, two pools, one outdoors and one heated, plus a spa, sauna, Turkish bath, gym, yoga area, jacuzzi, and pádel court. The apartments are just 400 m from the beach and from port aventura & Ferrariland, so the location is hard to beat.

We'd seen some poor reports and had a few concerns before our three-night stay at the end of February, but our experience was positive and good value. Check-in was easy and welcoming, and we got a clean, spacious two-bedroom corner apartment on the third floor. It was simply furnished but comfortable, well heated for a February stay, and reasonably well equipped, though there was no dishwasher. The 'Spa' facilities were available during their scheduled hours each day. On-site parking seemed expensive, but parking on the local roads was no problem.
