The bar at the plaza and this place seem to keep the town going. Pilgrims can get breakfast, lunch, or dinner here, and it’s always open. Great food and service, with lots of lovely, funny locals and truckers around.

I didn’t stay overnight, but it’s a great stop for food and a beer. Nowhere else was open and serving at those hours, and places like this really keep Pancorbo going.

The food and accommodation are quite good, though the staff can be a bit dour. I used to stay here regularly, but after what happened on my visit last November, I won’t be coming back. I’m about 6ft, not especially tall, yet the headroom over the stairs to the ground floor is well below my height and, I believe, below EU regulations. I was watching my steps as I came down and hit my head on the ceiling. I fell, bit my lip, and ended up with a painful neck. It was around 11pm. No one was at reception, only the manager in the bar. When I told him what happened, he said, “It’s not our problem, you should look where you are going.” Of course I was looking at my feet on the stairs. That’s why there are regulations for headroom above stairways. His uncaring, offhand response wasn’t what I’d expect from a hotel that cares about its clientele, though maybe they don’t. I travel through Pancorbo regularly and think it’s one of Spain’s most attractive villages, set in stunning mountain scenery, but I won’t stay here again.

The rooms were clean, and the staff were friendly. For the price, it’s a great place. The room had 70s-style tiling and colors. It’s close to the train tracks, so a train might wake you at night, though only one person in our group of 4 heard one.

A handy stop for a meal. The food was great and not expensive, and service was really quick.
