Hotel Best Mediterraneo

The pool was nice, and we could always find a sunbed. Our room was comfortable, with a balcony and chairs, and the hotel was clean throughout. The restaurant food was fine. I especially liked the octopus with potatoes and the mussels at dinner. The drinks were good too, and the evening show with the dancers was really cool. It’s just off the Main Street, so restaurants and shops are close, but the party noise didn’t carry into the hotel at night. There’s a bus stop nearby, along with a supermarket and little souvenir shops where you can pick up what you need.

The location is a real plus, with the main strip of restaurants, bars, and shops about five minutes away on foot. The main beach is around ten minutes away, and a smaller, quieter beach takes about five. The buffet has plenty to choose from and changes daily. Pool snacks include burgers, hot dogs, and cheese toasties. Drinks are good quality, but you have to ask specifically for the brands you want. The rooms are cramped, and unless you’re facing the pool, the view is disappointing. Housekeeping made the bed, emptied the bin, and changed the towels daily. When someone in the room above us was sick and it got all over our belongings and balcony, staff cleaned everything quickly and without fuss. We appreciated that. The pool is a decent size for small children, which made us feel less stressed keeping an eye on them, and it works for adults too. The pool, shared toilets, and general communal areas were clean. Daytime entertainment was hit and miss. Pool activities didn’t always happen, and the entertainment team seemed to put in little effort, often with their attention elsewhere. Maybe that was because we visited in mid-September, when fewer children were using the pool. The evening shows all felt much the same, just with different performers. They weren’t my taste, though I know that’s personal. It’s an okay hotel, but I wouldn’t return.

We stayed with our baby, who was six months old at the time, and brought a travel crib because we’d heard the hotel didn’t provide cots. A crib was already made up when we arrived, without us having to ask. That was a lovely extra touch. The staff were fantastic throughout, and there was fresh food at every meal. The one change I’d ask for is a slightly heated pool. We were there from late September into October, so weren’t expecting baking weather, but the water felt like ice at times. We had a fantastic stay from check-in to check-out and would recommend this budget-friendly hotel for its service and facilities. We’ll book again. Thanks to all the staff.

The staff were welcoming, friendly, and easy to approach, and the hotel was clean and modern. We had a great room overlooking the pool on the fifth floor. I can’t comment on the food since we didn’t try it, but I’d highly recommend the hotel itself. I was impressed for a three-star place and would definitely stay again. It’s ideally placed within walking distance of two beaches, shops, restaurants, a pharmacy, a supermarket, and bars. The adults’ pool is a good size, and there’s a smaller one for children.
