Ibersol Monaco Family Apartments

The street noise came straight into the apartment, and the pool wasn’t working. That wasn’t mentioned on the website or Booking.com, and nobody explained it when we arrived. Later, they said it was working, but at checkout they told us it was seasonal and had closed on September 4th. If so, why was it open before we left? The service was awful too. The receptionist, Carlos, refused to put the invoice in my companion’s name. A disgrace!

We were four couples, all between 30 and 35, and I’d booked two apartments for four people each a month and a half ahead. I’d emailed the owners, and everything seemed fine until we arrived to check in at 10 p.m. at the Ibersol SPA Aqquaria apartments. The “friendly” receptionist looked at me and refused entry without even asking for my ID or my friends’ IDs. She said it was because I was young. She “politely” told me to go to the Ibersol SPA Aqquaria apartments instead, closer to the party area. I’d booked somewhere quieter, so I couldn’t believe I was being told to switch because I was “young.” It wasn’t a joke. After 30 minutes I finally got a refund because that “friendly” receptionist wouldn’t let us in. Thanks for calling me young. I’ll never book an Ibersol apartment again.

The apartment itself was comfortable and well located, but there are a few issues. Getting the keys means going ten minutes away, and checkout is between 9 and 10 a.m., which is too early. It needs some renovation, and the pool looked great in the photos but was in very poor shape in person. For a short stay, guests shouldn’t have to buy their own supplies. They could provide the usual cleaning kit, like a cloth, scouring pad, and soap.

It’s in a really convenient spot with everything close by. The facilities are quite basic, but for the price, it’s more or less acceptable.
