Rentalmar Atlantida

We really enjoyed staying at the ATLANTIDA.

Getting the keys is a hassle since you have to go 1 km to collect and return them, but the apartment itself is quite central and close to the beach. Mine was on the first floor and had an elevator, though it was very old and rattled a lot. I think it should be checked. The layout was decent, with a small but well-equipped kitchen, washing machine and dishwasher, plus a living room and two bedrooms. Each bedroom had a built-in wardrobe and two beds. The terrace was a good size, with an outdoor table and chairs, but needed maintenance and paint, and the railing had lots of cracks. Inside, the old terrazzo floors could use an update. The windows weren't double-glazed, so there was a lot of noise, and most didn't shut properly and were hard to close. It's an older apartment with quite a few things to renovate.

We drove from Barcelona to Salou and paid the tolls just to try to book in person, only to find reception closed. Calling hadn't helped either, since they couldn't tell us whether any accommodation was available anywhere in the Rentalmar chain. What a waste of time.

Just average. There were no French channels, the kitchen utensils were limited for four people, and both the balcony and interior need renovating.
