Parking could be tricky sometimes, but that was the only issue. Our first-floor townhouse was a few minutes’ walk from the main pool and apartment development, and the T1 was fabulously appointed, with wonderful sea views from the balcony. Hesse, the owner, was friendly and very helpful. I’d definitely return to Sunsuites if I visit the island again.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this was a really bad experience. We were excited for the trip and the room because the hotel had a good rating and was close to the beach. At reception we were given a room with broken air conditioning, even though the hotel clearly says it has AC and it was so hot that we needed it. The receptionist said it had been broken since the day before and they had no time to find someone to fix it. When I asked to switch rooms or what could be done, he said no to both. I asked for a refund, and he told me to contact the booking website because he hadn’t received my money. But you can’t freely cancel on the day you’re due to check in. After a big argument, the hotel eventually agreed to refund me. The whole thing ruined my good mood for the vacation, and reception was no help at all.

The team was made up of a great group of people who worked really well together. Staff from Spain, Sweden, and South America were very friendly, and most spoke English. Our apartment had a lovely outlook from the balcony or terrace below. The sun moved around during the day, so some apartments got it in the morning or afternoon, while a few had sun all day. Apartments were cleaned five days out of seven, with Thursday and Sunday as rest days. The shopping centre across the road made groceries easy, and there were some great restaurants for when we didn’t want to cook. Loved it, though the stay ended too soon.

Mostly Scandinavian guests, and a friendly staff made for a really nice stay. The hotel was quiet, clean, and well run.
