Caterina and her husband were wonderful, and they went out of their way to help when I lost my phone and wallet, even driving me places. They’re the nicest people you could meet and gave me the best service. The room was clean, I slept really well, and breakfast was delicious.

Sonnenland is a quiet part of Maspalomas, and this B&B is close enough to get around without being right in the middle of things. Caterina was a friendly, thoughtful host, and I could tell she wanted me to have the best stay possible. Breakfast changed each day and had plenty to choose from, which I really liked. The house is part of a complex with a well-kept pool and seating area. I never used the pool because the sea was great. I had a really good stay and thought it was very good value.

I was here on a solo winter cycling trip, so being near the beach or the concrete sprawl of Maspalomas didn’t matter to me. Stefania made sure I was comfortable, and the breakfast was great for fuelling up before a day of riding. There’s a nice pool right outside for when you get back, and safe storage for my bike and bag. Stefania arranged airport transfers right to the door, and bringing the bike bag was no problem. There’s a little pizza place around the corner and a local Spar for basics. It was just what I wanted and couldn’t be beaten for the price. Thanks, Stefania and Paco, and for arranging the airport taxi.
