Apartamentos Casas Carmen

A lovely little resort with excellent, personal service.

The rooms have lots of space and are well equipped, and the staff are really nice. The location is the best part :)

Lovely spot, and the location is great.

The glass fence gives you a lovely view of the promenade, sea and sunrise while you sit somewhere peaceful. We came back to Casas Carmen for the second time in September 2024, and the apartments are spacious, generously furnished, and right by the beach. The grounds are beautiful and the pool is cleaned every day. Fresh rolls are left in a container each morning at no charge. Reception is staffed from 9 am to 3 pm, and the friendly, helpful team speaks several languages. There are also inexpensive drinks and snacks for sale in the basement, and now there's a washing machine and dryer to use. We prefer the apartments on the first floor. Lower floors mean less of a view, though they're closer to the pool. The bathrooms look dated, and there's an ongoing sewage smell, apparently in the surrounding area too. On some days you have to shower with a cesspool odor. Cockroaches occasionally get in through gaps from outside, though spray can help. Cleaning and towel replacement happen only every three days, which feels inadequate for such an expensive complex. Construction on the neighboring property can't be avoided, and arriving in the evening, some guests had trouble finding the entry code. Even with those drawbacks, we'd happily return. The good points at Casas Carmen are hard to beat.
