Bungalows HL Miraflor Suites

The heated pool was a big plus for our December stay. It was around 27-28°C during the day, but cooler at the beach in the evening, so we spent more time swimming at the hotel. Our bungalow was very clean, with housekeeping and fresh towels every day. The grounds were tidy and green, with lots of places to relax on loungers, and a sandy playground that was great for the kids. Staff were friendly, professional and organised. We also enjoyed the varied, tasty food, and the animators kept the children entertained. We had a wonderful holiday and would definitely recommend the hotel.

Lovely clean place, really friendly staff and lovely food. It was my first time here, and Miguel is a legend, the best bar person in Gran Canaria. The Annination team were amazing too, especially Nacho, Paula and Grimi. I'd definitely come back.

We visited during Pride, and I wish breakfast hours had gone until at least 11:30 to suit guests better then. At dinner, water wasn't included, which I don't think makes sense on half board. I was told tap water wasn't drinkable, though there was a dispenser and tap water on the island is drinkable. When I filled my glass from the dispenser, they wanted to charge me for tap water anyway. Dinner desserts were all overly sweet and tasted cheap, with too little variety for a 4-star standard. We also saw cockroaches in the bathroom on a few nights, so more frequent pest control would help. Even with those issues, I had a pleasant week in Maspalomas. The location is excellent, the surroundings beautiful, and staff very friendly. Stepping out of the bungalow puts you right in a lovely environment. Ours was an older, unrenovated bungalow. We knew its condition beforehand, and it was spacious and did the job, but it needs updating. Daily cleaning could have been more thorough. If the hotel improves these points, I'd be happy to stay again.

Armando welcomed us warmly, and we got upgraded to a really nice bungalow with a private pool. But don't spend extra on all-inclusive. The food was poor quality and there wasn't much choice, while the drinks were cheap versions of familiar brands. They served Amstel instead of local beer, so we went elsewhere to eat and drink.
