HD Parque Cristóbal Gran Canaria Hotel

The staff were amazing and very friendly, and I appreciated that smoking wasn’t allowed around the pool or bar. Sadly, the food was a total letdown. It was the same at lunch and dinner, day after day. The cream vegetable soup had no taste, and the onion soup they served for one day was just onions cooked in water. None of the food had flavour, and the hot-plate meat was tough and hard to chew. It was chicken or pork every night except Saturday, when they had lamb that you couldn’t cut or chew. The drink options were disappointing. The bar closed at 23:00, which is common at all-inclusives, but other hotels still let you get a hot drink then. Here the machine was switched off at 23:00 too. You pour your own pint into a plastic Beaker, and it goes flat. The path out past the tennis courts was covered in dog dirt and human feces. My room was okay but needed updating, seemed a little dirty, and the bathroom smelled of drainage. The shower was cold, although the beds were comfortable. I know this is negative, but the staff really were amazing and friendly.

We had a fantastic all-inclusive week at HD Parque Cristóbal in Gran Canaria, returning just recently. We went in mid May, when I’d guess the hotel was about 50% full. The mix of nationalities included lots of English and Spanish guests, plus a fair few Dutch people, and plenty of families. Everyone was friendly and seemed to be having a good time. Our room was ready even though we arrived early. It was near the splash park and pool, a great spot for kids of all ages, with slides and cannons. The room was dated, but very clean, tidied every day, and everything worked. There was a good food selection in the restaurant for all kinds of tastes, and the kids always found something, even though they can be fussy. The choices did get a bit repetitive towards the end of the week. If we’d stayed 2 weeks, we might have worked our way through the options. Evening entertainment was pretty basic while we were there, just a mini disco and bingo each night. Maybe that picks up as the season gets busier. We had a great holiday and would definitely return.

AVOID. We booked an Emblem villa for more than 4000 euro for 2 persons, and I don’t understand the positive reviews. The house was filthy, including the indoor and outdoor furniture. I had to wipe food residue off the loungers and chairs, which were covered in large stains. Our house had a leak that damaged the walls, and the whole park felt worn out and badly in need of a full renovation. There were cigarette buds, plastic cups and other rubbish on the grass. The Bali beds you can rent for half a day looked very dirty too. The food was poor quality, not fresh, with very limited choice and much the same every day. The picnic restaurant dining room reminded me of an Ikea restaurant on a Saturday afternoon at 15.00: crowded and noisy, with food left on tables and floors. The very limited staff slammed empty plates onto a trolley. We complained and moved to another hotel, but everywhere was full, so we had to sleep at Cristóbal for 3 nights, killing cockroaches before bed. On our last evening, someone had turned off the main power switch while we were out, though all the other houses still had power. If cheap drinks and food in large quantities are what you want, and you don’t mind cockroaches and dirty houses, this may suit you. Otherwise, avoid it and book somewhere else. There are plenty of cheaper good hotels around. I uploaded some pictures, but they aren’t visible.

We travelled as a group of 14 to Parque Christobal over easter 2026 and had a great stay. The grounds are large, with loads of activities for children and adults, and the evening shows were high quality. The food was great, with a new theme each day, and the all-inclusive food and drinks selection exceeded our expectations. The people running the hotel made a big difference. From the manager to the waiters, chefs, activity leaders and cleaning staff, everyone was helpful and worked hard to make our visit the best they could. Heavy rain the week before caused some issues with the rooms, but Antonio and his staff responded with excellent service, 10 out of 10.
