Paradisus by Meliá Gran Canaria

The food was a real highlight, even the buffet was better than I expected, and spotting lobster on our first night made a great first impression. There were loads of sunbeds, lovely pools and the beach right there. The activities were great for kids, with things like outdoor and kids’ cinema, yoga, personal training, aqua aerobics and astronomy sessions. There were separate adult areas too, though you had to pay and they seemed busier. We had a great family stay. Our premium ocean-front room was nicely equipped but a bit tight, especially with a cot and extra bags for a child under two. I was glad we had a sea view, since the other side looks onto the road, though there’s some scenery beyond it. We may have timed it well just after February half-term, as I can imagine it gets busy in peak season. It was easy to get here from the airport, and there’s a pharmacy and even a small hospital almost opposite if needed. Those are about the only reasons to leave the hotel. I’d happily recommend staying.

The candlelit dinner was a real highlight, with excellent food and smooth service. Daniel at The Reserve beach made our beach days feel special with his warmth, professionalism and eye for detail, and Gustavo was so helpful with everything Circle related and kept things running smoothly. We had a wonderful February stay at Paradisus Gran Canaria and are already looking forward to coming back. We joined Red Circle in October last year and were glad we did, because the care and personal attention throughout the visit made us feel like VIPs from arrival. The resort, rooms, grounds and facilities were all immaculate, and it was clear the team takes pride in keeping everything in such good shape. A flawless stay, with lovely surroundings and moments we’ll remember for a long time.

The buffet is bright and roomy, with something for every age and taste. This was our third family visit, across three generations, and the service is extraordinary. Marta, the General Manager, is visible, welcoming and supportive, and that same care comes from everyone, whether in the rooms, by the pools, or in the restaurants and bars. They won’t be surprised to see us again. Thank you to every member of the team. Over the past 50 years, this is the best holiday hotel in its sector that I’ve stayed at.

Breakfast stood out, with plenty of fresh, high-quality choices to start the day. The other meals were full of flavour, nicely presented and varied enough for different tastes. From arrival, the staff were warm and attentive, and throughout our stay they handled every request promptly and professionally. They clearly care about making guests comfortable. The service, food and hospitality all exceeded my expectations. We’d definitely return, and I’d recommend it to anyone after a relaxing, enjoyable stay.
