Sanom Beach Resort - Adults Only

The calm feel of the whole resort made our girls’ weekend really enjoyable. We had a comfortable bungalow that was just right for relaxing. Breakfast was filling and delicious, and the service there was especially friendly and attentive. All the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming.

The room was spacious and quiet, so we slept well, and the food quality at breakfast was good. The waitress was kind, too. But breakfast came to the table with very limited choices, and having the same thing for all five days got repetitive. They forgot to clean our room one day. We accepted the waitress’s apology, as she was genuinely sorry. We stayed five nights and found the resort okay, but well below what we expected. There was no happy hour or other organized events. I’ve been to Gran Canaria seven times, and I wouldn’t recommend this resort. There are much better hotels.

We stayed here for five nights last January, three of us sharing a triple room. On our last evening, while we were out, someone got into the room and stole several personal things, including cash and a debit card. There were no obvious signs of a break-in. Management denies responsibility. We don’t know how it happened, but we obviously have our suspicions. I won’t return to this resort, and I can’t recommend going there.

The pool area was dirty, and the pool and walkways weren’t cleaned. The service from reception was poor too. Our Wi-Fi was either unavailable or very weak, and nobody helped or fixed it during all eight nights of our stay. When we arrived, we couldn’t get into the room because the wooden door was stuck. It was fixed the next day, but the wood chips were still lying around. We also had ants in the room and bathroom. There was no soap or shower gel, and we had to ask for them again and again every day. Calling this a four-star resort is ridiculous. Sorry, never again.
