The owners’ reply when we raised the issue was, “sorry, but was it clean?” That felt completely inadequate for a problem that needed a proper response. We found ourselves having to kill cockroaches on the fourth floor, which put us off even eating in the apartment, despite its good location. The body towels smelled damp, and the Italian coffee maker was broken too.

The balcony view over the pool, palm tree and city was superb, and the apartment was spacious, with a large fridge and good Wi-Fi. It was clean, and the welcome was warm and friendly. I love this privately run apartment in the Australia complex. Shops and the beach are close, as is all the activity, while the quieter parts of Maspalomas are only a short way off. The ever-present sunshine makes long walks possible again and again. We got to book with Sunny for well over three weeks in February for the first time, and we’re already looking forward to returning to Sunny Apartment from September 2nd. 👍👍👍👍👍
