Apart from the bathrooms, it was a solid stay. The shared men’s bathroom had fruit flies all over it. The women’s bathroom was okay, though hot water was sometimes an issue. There wasn’t enough when someone else was showering.

The room was tidy and clean, but the toilets and shower need better cleaning and could do with a remodel. When I showered this morning, there were at least 30 flies on the shower wall. Absolutely gross 🤢. Noise woke me several times during the night, with people coming and going and banging doors. I wouldn’t book here again.

It was hard to find, tucked away at a hidden corner of the road. There was basically no service staff around, and I didn’t think it was worth it.

It turned out better than I expected. I’d never stayed in a guesthouse with shared bathrooms before, but the experience wasn’t bad. The bathrooms have been renovated and were fairly clean, just remember they’re separate from the rooms. The rooms themselves were in good condition, comfortable, and cosy. But the old wooden windows and doors seem more like old cupboard doors than proper closures, so you hear everything. Your stay really depends on who the other guests are, since noises from nearby rooms and shared areas carry through. Reception was quick and attentive, though there’s no receptionist at the desk at night. I think it works for a trip with friends, but not for a couple or family.
