It feels just like home here, thanks to Carmen, the owner, who treats you like family. We’ve been returning to this area for a few years, and the breakfasts are delicious. It’s so peaceful, with walking paths to the beach, and very close to the highway. They also accept pets, which is really important. Highly recommended if you want to relax and explore Asturias.

This was a very unpleasant stay. The place seems to be the downstairs rooms of an old hotel, not a whole house or apartment. It’s a maze of rooms, some of them closed off, with a living room and kitchen. The kitchen was in really poor condition when we arrived. The microwave looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages, and there were crumbs all over the drawers and cupboards. We politely asked if they could clean up the space. The next day, we were told in a very unpleasant way that it would be best to end our stay and find somewhere else, right in the middle of the busy summer season, with our baby and four-year-old. We asked them to come check the kitchen and a few other things, but they refused to go inside. They only took the microwave away to clean and then brought it back. On the day we left, we raised the cleaning issue again while settling the final payment. The man parked his car at the exit gate, blocked us from leaving, and walked away. We paid, he unlocked the gate, and I’m still waiting for him to send the invoice. I hope his business on the town square is run better and pays taxes like the rest of us workers do. We won’t be back.

The spacious garden was a lovely place to unwind, with apple trees, blooming hydrangeas, and a fantastic view. It was also wonderfully quiet, perfect for relaxing. We enjoyed our short break at the small but charming Hotel Coto del Pomar. The room, bed, and bathroom were perfect and very clean, and breakfast was delicious, especially Carmen’s homemade jam. Highly recommended!
