Hotel Kerala

I enjoyed the Indian food and Kerala Ayurveda treatments at this very nice hotel. The decor is Indian, with antique furnishings. It was good to meet the new management team, and I’m looking forward to visiting again.

The customer service was the best I’ve ever had!

My husband, son, and I stayed for three days, and the woman tried to scam us. She even threatened us with a car in the middle of the Coviran supermarket. It sounds surreal, but it happened. Before we left, we had to call the Civil Guard and file a report. She wanted us to pay for a massage we hadn’t asked for. My husband had only agreed to ten minutes because he didn’t want to be rude, but she kept going when he repeatedly asked her to stop. Eventually he got furious, stood up, showered, and left. They chased us on foot and in a car, saying they’d claim we left without paying for the massage. They’d never told us the price or anything else about it. She threatened us in front of our son, then drove off, leaving people in the street stunned. Locals said this wasn’t the first time she’d tried to scam people. There are no prices listed, and she never gives you a receipt or anything. I wouldn’t stay there. The rooms also leave a lot to be desired for cleanliness. When we entered ours, someone had urinated and hadn’t even flushed. Absolutely not recommended. They tried to take advantage of us and make us feel naive and stupid.

The cleanliness was practically nonexistent, with cobwebs and spiders everywhere, and the hotel staff were appalling. It was an absolutely terrible stay, and I wouldn’t recommend it at all. If you want a pleasant, stress-free visit, stay somewhere else.
