The salt water pool is such a relaxing spot, and there’s always someone nearby if you want a beer. Johnny and his family run a lovely family hostel, with little bars and restaurants all around. The best beaches in Spain are about 45 minutes away, and Jerez center is 30 minutes away. Friday night Flamingo 🦩 is a must!

San Jose del Valle worked well as a base for exploring nearby towns and villages, and we had some great meals there for very good value. We also felt really welcome during our lovely stay at El Mirador, which is well located for Jerez and MotoGP.

The breakfast was delicious, especially the ham toast with quail eggs, and I’d definitely come back. The room was spotless, with a magnificent bed and a very firm mattress, which I personally loved. The staff were friendly and helpful, with thoughtful touches like free coffee and muffins. It’s a perfect location for visiting the town or stopping on the way to other towns in the area. One of my best hotel or hostel experiences that I can remember. Excellent!
