Casa Oroteanda

The house was okay and we had a good time, but there were some issues. The refrigerator smelled awful, so we had to clean it when we arrived. The bedrooms and other parts of the house didn't feel clean, and the barbecue was so dirty we had to scrub it quite a bit. The pool water was cloudy too. Given the fairly high price, I wouldn't recommend returning if things are still like that.

We enjoyed our time, but not enough to come back. The house itself is nice, though the surroundings aren't special and the facilities feel old. The drains were slow, and cleaning seemed incomplete, with dust on the furniture and windows. One kitchen refrigerator, there was another one too, smelled strongly of fish, so we cleaned it before putting our food away. The barbecue was covered in thick grease and took real effort to clean before we could use it. The pool was cloudy. To the owner's credit, she sent the maintenance team that same morning after we told her, but the water stayed cloudy. Be very careful around the pool because the ground is slippery. We fell, luckily with no serious injury, just a small bump. I didn't try the hammocks, partly because I was worried about cleanliness, and partly because the canvas on others was completely worn out and sagging underneath.

Direct contact with the owner meant a lot. She's very kind and helpful, and we'll definitely return. We spent a wonderful few days in this fantastic villa for my son's birthday. It's a great place to switch off and enjoy the quiet and the comforts. The bedrooms are super comfortable, the barbecue area is great, and the pool works for children too. I recommend it 100%.

The pool itself was really great, but we could barely use it. A neighbor who lives there permanently shouted at her daughter at an unbearable volume from morning until night, and my son couldn't sleep for several nights. The holiday home felt run-down: there was an ant infestation during our stay, a broken toilet, and a cracked kitchen drain. There were loads of dishes and utensils, but they were dirty, and some were awful. Cleanliness overall left a poor impression. The outdoor furniture was dilapidated, with torn cushions. The grill they advertise was unusable, and so filthy it seemed impossible to clean enough to cook on. For the price, it wasn't what we'd expected. After a thorough clean and with the neighbor's shouting ignored, it was okay.
