Apartamentos Mar y Mar

We spent our last night of a northern Spain holiday in the duplex apartment. It was advertised with views of both the sea and mountains, but trees and shrubs almost touching the windows blocked everything, so there was no view of either. I left a USB key in the TV by mistake. The owners said they'd send it back, but months and several phone calls later, it still hasn't arrived. The duplex description isn't accurate, and I don't consider the owners honest about what they claim.

Having a car is better here, since the nearest bus stop is 1 km away with infrequent service, and the closest shop is 2 km away. The setting is calm, clean, and surrounded by beautiful nature, making it a lovely spot for a family trip, a couple, or meditation. The windows face the sea, and there's outdoor seating. The place is tidy and has a kitchen with utensils, heating, and other necessary facilities.

I didn't get to stay, though I probably would have liked the place. Something unfortunate meant I couldn't make my booking, but management refused to move it to a few days later and showed no understanding. They kept the money, and I don't think that's a decent way to make a living.

The hydrangeas were beautiful, and our hosts made us feel welcome at this lovely rural property. We stayed exactly a year ago, while visiting from New Zealand to see the point opposite where we live.
