We could see the water from our room, yet the street was quiet. It was spotless, with a comfortable bed, storage, a TV, USB charging points, and a very clean bathroom with an excellent shower. The staff were great, offering recommendations and keeping our bags after checkout so we could explore without carrying them around. The hotel worked well as our base for our San Sebastian adventure. It’s near the old part of town, and we managed the full circuit before catching our afternoon train. There was also an excellent, busy cafe/bar on the ground floor. We loved the place, would stay again, and definitely recommend it.

Sound travels so easily here. The room was okay, but a baby crying somewhere woke us at 6am, then cleaning in the other rooms began at 9. The vacuum sounded like it was right beside my bed. Fine if you want an early start. If you’re hoping to sleep in on vacation, I’d choose somewhere else.

The bike rental was a real highlight for us. The bike was in great shape, and we had a great time exploring the city over a few days. Everyone on staff was warm and professional, and they even helped us sort out a problem that had nothing to do with the hotel. The rooms were lovely, and the location put us right in the middle of everything. We had a truly memorable stay at Silken Amara Hotel in San Sebastian. One thing, the review mentions both Silken Amara Hotel and Hotel Sirimiri, so I can’t tell which one it refers to.

We liked the room size, which felt good by modern European standards, and the location made it easy to walk to both the town center and the beach. Dinner was good too. We’ll probably go back tonight, mainly because it’s convenient. We’d recommend it.

The bus station is about a 15-minute walk, and the beaches and old town are a bit farther. The restaurant itself was lovely, quiet, and clean.
