I chose this hotel because it’s close to the Camino de Santiago, which made it quicker to leave the city in the morning. It’s in a quieter, upmarket residential neighbourhood, and there’s a beautiful, level 30-minute walk along the maritime walkway to the city center and Old Town. Service was really great. Someone recommended a late lunch at Bar Pepe, and the freshly made pinchos there were great. If you don’t want breakfast at the hotel, Tahona around the corner was also great. I enjoyed my stay. My room, 305, had double aspect windows and quite nice views. It was traditional, well maintained, nice and clean, with a comfy bed, a powerful shower, and a large TV where I watched the news. I also made tea and coffee.

It was nice to stay in a quieter part of town, about a 20-minute walk from the busier areas. The hotel is cute and quiet, with views of the water and beach, and our rooms had balconies. There’s construction happening on the beach out front, but it didn’t bother us. We had two rooms next to each other, and one was significantly larger than the other. I’d try for the 4th floor, the top level, since I imagine you might hear noise from above on the other floors. Breakfast was okay, but I don’t think it’s worth the extra money. Better to walk to a cafe or somewhere similar.

The outside of the hotel is beautiful, and it’s in a great spot near the beach. Our AC worked great, and breakfast was nice. But the WiFi wouldn’t let us connect from our room, even though it worked well in the cafeteria. That’s rough for international travelers who already have limited data. Our toilet only flushed sometimes, and little winged creatures showed up in our bed on and off during the stay. The toiletries were tiny, and there was no hair conditioner.

The hotel is just a two-minute walk from the beach, at the west end where San Sebastián is much quieter. We had a wonderful stay in a beautiful building with a spacious, very clean and airy room. The staff were first class, friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Our sea view room was magical. This is a wonderful little old-style hotel right by the beach, in a quieter area. There are great local restaurants nearby, and it’s a pleasant 20-30 minute walk to Old Town.
