Niza La Concha - Iberorent Apartments

I was lucky to get a balcony room looking out at La Concha beach, and the view was breathtaking. The hotel itself is lovely, with romantic views and a very convenient location. Staff were hospitable, and the small restaurant had a limited selection, but it did the job. The elevator has to be the most beautiful in the world.

The beds were awful, stiff as a board, and after our first day hiking the Camino del Norte, my brother and I couldn’t get comfortable sleeping on them. The room was very clean, though, and our balcony had the perfect view of La Concha Beach. The hotel is right on the beach, in a great location.

Parking was the tricky part. The garage is underground on level -3, with very narrow ramps between floors. Don’t bring a large SUV or car, getting it parked would be a real challenge. An automatic is a good idea too, since you may need to reverse up a steep ramp. The location is probably the best, right among the attractions. Hotel Londres is close too, but in a much busier spot. In front are three or four patio gardens where you can get a drink and a bite to eat, and there’s also a nice hotel restaurant and bar. Our room was quiet and very nice, with water views, and the bathroom was modern, spacious, and clean. They supplied a bottle of water each day. The old elevator still works and is quite roomy for its age. The lobby always had two people on hand and they were quick to help. The door uses a traditional key, which you leave at the lobby when you go out and pick up again later.

The rooms are small but have what you need, and for this location the price is reasonable. We were right on the beach and had a parking garage. I really liked how clean and light the soaps and lotions felt on my skin. The little cafe and restaurant downstairs was just right for a quick coffee or drink. I’d book again.
