My last-minute two-night stay was lovely. I hadn’t stayed in a pension before, and the place stood out for its cleanliness, communication, clear instructions for getting in, and location. I’d definitely book again, and only wish I’d stayed longer.

I couldn’t get into the room. I wasn’t given a good guide and didn’t know which floor it was on, and the door wouldn’t open. The owner said I wouldn’t be charged if I couldn’t get in, but I was charged for two nights, which I’m disputing with my Visa card. I ended up paying another hotel 300 Euro for the night. I told booking.com, but they did nothing for me, and there was no follow-up. The guy who was supposed to guide me was very rude and arrogant, and kept interrupting. I left without getting into the room, and they charged me. I don’t recommend this hotel.

The location is fantastic, right in the lively old town, and the whole place was clean and nicely furnished. I had a great one-night stay in April 2025 and would recommend it if you just need somewhere to sleep in Donostia / San Sebastian. The two shared bathrooms were excellent, with huge walk-in showers and towels, soap, shampoo, and shower gel provided. There are no kitchen facilities or lounge areas, just bedrooms and shared bathrooms. Jonathan made the last-minute booking easy and sent check-in and check-out instructions in English over Whatsapp. We were able to arrive late at 11pm without a problem. It was mid April and not hot, so we had no comfort or air con issues and kept the balcony door shut. I can’t say what it’s like in hotter weather, but if you need the door open, I can imagine the plaza and its late-opening bars could make it noisy. One small issue: our room was sold as having a double bed, but we got two singles pushed together, with two separate single duvets.

The owner was friendly and very helpful, and the shared bathrooms were very, very clean. We spent two nights in this sweet little pension, right in the heart of San Sebastian. The location is the best.

It was clean, easy to access, and in a very central location, but the noise made it hard to sleep. Street noise continued past 3:00am, and other guests came in late, talking and showering until 2:00 or 3:00am. The room was extremely hot, almost unbearable, and very bright from the streetlight shining in. The location is good, but I don’t think it’s worth it if you want a good night’s sleep.
