For the price, the hotel was a good fit. Our October weekday stay wasn’t as noisy as some reviews suggest, though the central location could mean more noise in summer or on weekends. The room was clean, and the receptionist who handed over the keys was very friendly and helpful. When I asked, he brought me a blanket. My friends were cold at night since the usual bedding was just sheets, so I hope they provide something warmer in winter.

The location was a real highlight, maybe one of the best areas to stay in San-Sebastien. We arrived late and had a bit of trouble figuring out the keys, but once we got in, we had a great stay. I appreciated the owner’s kindness and quick replies.

A nightmare. At 10:30 pm, nobody answered the phone or door for 45 minutes. I asked a nearby restaurant to call, and their staff rang the bell with me. When I tried the next bell just once, someone immediately shouted through the speaker that they would kill me. After that, I had to sleep somewhere else, and I didn’t get my money back. Of all the places I’ve seen, this is by far the worst hotel or pension, not just in Spain but worldwide.

You can't beat this spot in the old town. It was clean, and everyone was very friendly.
