We were in a street-facing room, and Saturday night got very loud, though the rest of the stay was fine. The room itself was nice, and the location is superb. Still, with no room service, dirty or sandy towels can be a pain on a longer stay. I’m not sure it’s worth the price.

The good parts were the room itself, which was spacious, nicely decorated and very clean, and the great location. We liked the lighting, the shower worked well, and Netflix on the TV was a pleasant surprise, though the spotty internet meant waiting through buffering. The bed could’ve been bigger, but maybe I’m being picky. There weren’t any coat hooks or a place for hand towels and bath towels in the bathroom. Sleep was difficult. The street-facing windows weren’t sealed, so sounds and smells came straight in. Tourists partied until the early hours and were easy to hear, making it almost impossible to sleep without earplugs. We also worried about security. There was no lock on the inside of the room, the room code was worryingly close to the front door code, and the door opened outward, so we couldn’t brace it with anything while inside. A safe would’ve helped us feel better about leaving valuables there. Getting in was a mess. There was no check-in information until we called several times, and I’d messaged through booking.com for three weeks before our stay without getting a single reply. When we arrived, we couldn’t enter. Only after a Spanish person called on our behalf and explained we were there but couldn’t get in did we receive the entry details. I had no phone signal, and there was no WiFi in the room or through reception, despite that being what the host recommended. Luckily, my partner had a good data connection, or we’d have been without internet the whole time. We enjoyed the stay, but these issues would put us off booking again.

A total nightmare. Nobody answered my calls, WhatsApp texts, or booking messages. They sent me several WiFi passwords and not one worked. I never knew what was going to disappoint me next whenever I went in. I can't believe the owners have kept running the place this way for so long. We won't be back.

We arrived early and were told the room wouldn’t be ready until 5 pm. When we returned at 8 pm, it hadn’t been touched, as if the previous guest had only just left. Their answer was to tell us to cancel the reservation at 8 pm, while trying to avoid any responsibility for such a serious problem. The service was awful, and the whole thing was a nightmare.
