The Social Hub San Sebastián

The rooms were spacious, clean and nicely done, and the staff were friendly. The gym is handy too. There’s a rooftop bar and a pool with a lift for swimmers with limited mobility, though the pool is small and gets crowded, with too little room for everyone to sit and relax. The rooftop view over the highway is a bit peculiar. Getting into the center takes 15 minutes by bus or a 30-40 minute walk, and the location isn’t ideal. Underground parking is expensive at 20€/night. I found the whole stay a bit pricey. A personal gripe: I’m still not keen on open reception setups. There’s no clear queue, check-in took a long time, and nobody answered the phone despite our MANY attempts before arrival. Email service was very slow as well.

The area is quiet, with not much going on, which made it a nice break from the bustle in town. It’s a pleasant half-hour walk to the old town, or about a €10 taxi ride. The rooms were clean and very modern, the rooftop pool was lovely, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent value for money.

We loved our stay. The rooftop pool is amazing, and the coworking areas are really nice. The gym and laundry are included too, which is great. The place feels like a hotel for 2025, with thoughtful, functional design and beautiful decor. Only real downside was the pillows, which felt kind of weak, and there was only one person.

Good facilities if you need a meeting room or want to do laundry, but I thought the room quality was poor for the price. The location is in a residential area, far from everything. I was given a wheelchair-friendly room, which was fine, but shower water spread across the whole bathroom floor and stayed there because the tiles weren’t installed evenly. The ventilation was extremely loud and couldn’t be switched off. The climate control only blew cold air. Housekeeping had an 8 hour window and still didn’t show up.
