SLS Barcelona

Getting around was easy, with transport readily available just outside SLS Barcelona. There’s no shuttle, but a taxi from the airport took only 28 minutes, and the ride to the cruise port was a convenient 18 minutes. We traveled as a family group, and the staff got our room ready for early check-in. While we waited in the lobby for the rooms to be cleaned, they offered complimentary drinks. The rooms and facilities were immaculate, with luxurious decor. Staff were attentive, and everything we ordered came promptly and fresh. The food was delicious, though a hamburger, fries, and Coke felt a little pricey. The sweet potato fries were delicious. There’s no microwave in the room, so be ready to eat food as soon as it arrives. It’s a wonderful new resort-style hotel, comfortable and stress-free, with great service and convenient transport. A good choice before or after a cruise, or for a Barcelona visit if you’d like to stay away from the busy city center.

The lobby had a lively feel, with a DJ playing techno-inspired music at a refined volume. It wasn’t too loud, and gave the space a cool, energetic atmosphere. The gym was another highlight: clean, well-equipped, and great for keeping up with workouts while traveling. The whole hotel feels modern, stylish, and welcoming. The room decor had lovely details that made it both comfortable and luxurious, and the interior design gives everything an upscale, trendy feel. Amazing experience from start to finish. I’d absolutely stay again and highly recommend it.

The waterfront location was a real plus, and I loved being close to the beach. It is farther from Barcelona’s historic center, though, so exploring the old town means some travel. The rooms are spacious, with balconies and great marina views, and the restaurants and bars give you plenty of options without leaving the property. SLS Barcelona has a bold, stylish look that feels more like an art installation than a typical hotel, with vivid colors, dramatic lighting, playful spaces, and a neon-lit lobby. There’s a rooftop vibe too, and the food and views are great. Service and facilities are generally high-end, although some guests online mention inconsistent experiences or management hiccups since it’s still fairly new. It’s a lively, chic choice for luxury with personality if you don’t mind being a short ride from the city’s heart.

We only stayed one night, but it was perfect. The room was spacious, with a large balcony overlooking the marina and pool, and bathrobes and slippers were provided. Dinner and breakfast were really tasty, and the staff were very friendly. The location worked well too: about a 20-minute drive from the airport and 15-20 minutes by tram to the city center. The stop is a short walk away, the ride is cheap, and there’s a corner shop beside the stop.
