May was calm around the clean pool, and evenings weren’t noisy. The staff were all welcoming and polite, and food and drinks were reasonably priced. It’s a short walk to the beach and nightlife. Our room was very spacious and cleaned daily. A nice little hotel and good value for money, we had a great stay.

We stayed five days and four nights, from 17th to 21st May 2026. Check-in at 3 pm was easy, and our room, F108, was cleaned daily. The bed was okay and the shower room adequate, but the room was extremely basic, the TV didn’t work and the air conditioning was unreliable. It looked out over some unpleasant, unused large wheelie bins, and the tiny balcony had no table or chairs. Maybe that was for the best given the view. We only used the room to wash and sleep, so it was manageable. The best part was Bar Toben across the road. The people there were lovely, the drinks good quality and reasonably priced, and the food and breakfast were lovely. The hotel is quite far from amenities, though there’s a nice supermarket and takeaway nearby. It really is the two-star place it claims to be. If you’re fine with basic facilities and walking or taking a taxi to local spots, it’ll just about do. Looking back, I think we should have paid a bit more for better facilities and location.

The location and housekeeping were a complete mess, and I strongly don’t recommend staying here. We were there for three nights. On the second day, we found a used condom in the bathroom corner by the toilet brush. It certainly wasn’t ours. We reported it at reception and asked for a solution, but because it was late, we were told no one was available to clean. They said it would be dealt with the next day, and didn’t apologize. The following morning, I reminded the staff to send someone while we’d be out for ten hours. When we came back that evening, the room still hadn’t been cleaned. A “Do Not Disturb” sign had appeared outside our door, even though ours had been inside the room. Our friend in another room had the same problem: the sign was on their door and their room wasn’t cleaned either. I went back to reception. This time the staff member was empathetic and apologized, but said again that no one was available at that hour. She offered towels and paper, which wasn’t enough. After I insisted, she came to the room and removed the condom, which I appreciated, but it still didn’t resolve what had happened. I understand this is a two-star hotel, but this was completely unacceptable. I hope they improve their standards.

A woman repeatedly approached guests in the hotel lobby, saying she had no food or place to stay and asking for money. I helped her, then later saw her telling other guests the same story. More than a day later, she was still around the hotel doing it. I can’t confirm whether the hotel was involved, but having guests approached for money inside the hotel made me uncomfortable. The rooms also didn’t match the online photos, and the air conditioning didn’t work properly during my stay. It was a disappointing experience, and I’d advise future guests to be cautious and keep their expectations about the rooms and facilities in check.
