TRS Ibiza Hotel

The food was a real highlight. Breakfast was phenomenal, the dinner buffet changed through the week and was nice, and the à la carte restaurants were exquisite with a great wine selection. Lunch was just okay, though the food truck at the IO Bar was good and portions were quite small. Our room was pretty and clean, but a little tight for three. I couldn't tell whether the junior suite with panoramic sea view was much different from a regular sea view room. The location was perfect, even if it looked less spectacular than the photos. Staff were welcoming, especially reception and housekeeping. The bartenders were quick and nice, while the bar waiters were friendly but a bit slow and seemed slightly unmotivated, at least by German standards. Buffet service did its best, around 3.5 stars for me, while à la carte service was excellent, easily 4.7. At about €1,000 per week all-inclusive, it’s an absolute steal. High season can go over €3,000, which feels a bit steep, and even in October there are still queues.

We loved the private beach access and the spectacular view from our beachfront room. The rooftop bar was another favorite for sunset, and the classy DJs at the pool and then the rooftop made it even better. The crowd was diverse and more mature in age. The hotel isn’t right by the main party spots, which is to be expected, so plan to spend a little on taxis. Take taxis rather than Ubers, they’re much cheaper. The all-inclusive food and drinks were delicious and well worth it, and the dining halls were beautiful. The staff were so kind and courteous. We only wish we’d booked more days. Gracias TRS team. Los amo! I’d read reviews saying minibar drinks cost extra or drink numbers were limited, but that wasn’t our experience. For us everything was included and unlimited. Maybe it depends on the time of year. We’ll be back.

The rooftop bar was a highlight, with top-notch drinks and a great sunset view. The lobby bar was good too, though another bar would help, since choices were limited after 7pm. There wasn’t much entertainment beyond the DJ, who was really good when he was on. We liked the food and drinks overall. Both restaurants were excellent, with plenty of choice and high-end food, and the cocktails were good. The buffet was decent for breakfast and lunch, but we preferred the snack bar by the small pool for lunch. The standard room was lovely to sleep in and get ready in, with a comfy bed, great shower, and a minibar that was restocked plenty of times. The bathroom and bedroom arrangement was a bit odd, and the balcony view was limited. It’s a quiet location with not much around, but San Antonio is a 15-20 minute walk away, or €10 by taxi. Service when we ate and drank was very good, and all the staff were lovely and friendly. We’d been put off TRS by reviews after booking, but went ahead and were glad we did.

A lovely surprise cake from the butler team on our first night for our 25th anniversary was a thoughtful touch. The room was brilliant, and we couldn’t fault it. The wristbands doubling as room keys were handy, and although the mini fridge is restocked every three days, we barely needed it with all-inclusive. We especially enjoyed dinner at El Gaucho signature restaurant. The food was very good throughout, and hosts seated guests at every meal. At the pool, there were plenty of beds during our first week of October, even in the afternoon, so there was no need to get up early. Staff came by to take drink orders, though we found it quicker to go to the pool bar. The service there was fine but not especially friendly. The main reception bar staff were the opposite, friendly, entertaining, and first-class. The reception space has lots of comfortable seating and a great atmosphere. Gravity Bar also had a nice vibe and stunning views, though we didn’t visit often. We were welcomed with a drink on arrival, and check-in was quick and informative. The team had already given us fantastic service before we arrived. TRS Ibiza felt luxurious throughout and deserves its 5-star rating. We can’t wait to return.
