The hotel is in a great spot, with views down to the beach from the room and restaurant. There’s a nice pool to swim in, and the beach is only a quick walk away. The one thing I didn’t like was that the plates for the included breakfast and dinner were often dirty or hadn’t been washed properly.

The setting is beautiful, with stunning views that made our stay memorable. The hotel has quite a few outdoor staircases, which could be difficult for anyone with reduced mobility. The food was delicious, though a bit expensive, and the rooms were clean. Every team member gave us amazing service and went out of their way to make us comfortable. A special shout-out to Alberto, who took such great care of my family while I was busy working. We loved our stay at Hotel Montjoi and will definitely be back.

The room smelled like a cesspool, and the reception staff showed little interest in our serious complaint. When I told the woman at the desk, she said, “Oh, how annoying, maybe opening a window will help!” We complained again the next day, but they didn’t take us seriously or apologize. We were dismissed. Never again!

The spa was a letdown: it’s basically a sauna and a small steam room, with no real place to relax or range of treatments. For this price and hotel category, I expected more. The stay itself was a pleasure, though, and I’d return knowing the spa is a small retreat rather than a full wellness center. Our three-bedroom suite felt like a high-end apartment, with separate living and dining spaces, a fully equipped kitchen, lovely bedding, and a polished design. The Mediterranean view from the terrace was spectacular, and breakfast was fresh and varied. Right on Sant Pol beach in Sant Feliu de Guíxols, the hotel has a peaceful seaside setting, plus a beach shuttle and poolside bar. The modern Mediterranean and Italian style added to the luxury, but it comes at a very high price.
