Elke Spa Hotel

The staff were courteous and helpful, and my room was clean, comfortable, and luxurious. A wonderful hotel in a delightful town.

The game room alone is 100m2, and it was perfect for our 1 year old. The hotel went above and beyond for a European hotel. Thanks for taking service in Spain to another level. We’ll definitely come back.

The hotel itself is beautiful, and there were plenty of good points during our three-night Junior Suite stay. The suite was spacious and high quality, the breakfast generous, and the breakfast service lady extremely professional and helpful. The bedding was excellent, parking was great, the hotel was clean, the pool was nice, and the spa very good. The rooftop was beautiful too. But before arriving, I emailed twice to ask for a quiet room and specifically said I didn’t want one facing the Ramblas. We were put at the corner of two streets, facing the Ramblas, and the nights were extremely noisy. At reception we explained that I’d sent two emails. The employee on duty on Friday, May 2nd, a dark-haired woman who wasn’t welcoming at all, said they hadn’t received them. I booked directly through the hotel website. This is unacceptable.

The family suite made this feel like great value, and we had parking and good WiFi throughout. We especially liked the kids' playroom, rooftop pool with its lovely views, the restaurant for lunch, and the daily breakfast. The hotel is just across from the beach and an easy walk from lots of restaurants. We came after a really bad experience at another four-star place in town, and the difference in service, rooms, and amenities was huge.
