Hotel Hostal del Sol

The building is beautiful, but the facilities are old. Parking costs extra, and the hotel is a 10-minute walk from the beach. Breakfast was acceptable and varied. I didn’t use the Wi-Fi. In room 107, I had trouble resting because of all sorts of noise: water running in sinks, people talking, drawers opening and closing, and furniture being moved around 8:00 a.m. I could even hear someone blowing their nose. The room itself was old, though the mattress was comfortable. The pillow was very soft and thin, and the bathroom was spacious. I also found some hair on the bed.

My boyfriend and I wanted a cozy, quiet weekend away from the city, and this hotel had exactly the vibe we wanted. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The place is pretty old and could use some renovation, but it has its own style, unlike all those modern hotels that look like huge white boxes. If you’re looking for animation, themed dinners, and activities to keep you at the hotel all the time, this isn’t the place. But there’s so much to do in town and around it that I don’t understand people who call it boring.

The beds were lovely and comfortable, and the swimming area was cozy. The staff were the real stars, from the man handling breakfast to the front desk, cleaning team, and night watchmen.

Such good value. The building is old but charming and very well maintained. Breakfast had a great variety, the pool was very calm, the staff were friendly, and the rooms were clean and comfortable.
