The hotel itself is nice, at least the part guests can see, and there’s a pool with a beautiful sea view. The bar food was nice and cheap, though there was no kettle in the room. My arrival was frustrating: they asked me to pay even though the room had already been paid for, including an extra €100 deposit, and we argued about it. The lift also wasn’t working, and there was no light while it was being repaired. Mixed impressions.
The buffet breakfast and dinner were good, and the barbecue was reasonably good too. There was no fish at the barbecue, but I don’t eat meat, so I appreciated the dining manager arranging some for me. Even with dinner paid for, drinks cost extra, and I don’t understand why there wasn’t even a free glass of water. The hotel has good views, though getting back from the beach means walking up a steep hill. The beach is about a ten-minute walk away. It’s set up for young children, with activities and music for them, and without young kids it got tiresome. The pool shut at 6 PM on our first day, so we had to spend two hours in our room. The poolside music was ridiculously loud. I asked the “animadora” to turn it down, but she didn’t. They streamed music from Spotify’s free version, ads and all, and played Christmas music in August. If you want to relax, forget it. You’ll have fun their way. The staff seemed diligent and hardworking, but clearly had very few breaks. We were told check-in was at 15h, while a sign at the hotel said 13h, so we lost two hours. The room was reasonable in size but nothing special, and there were coffee sachets but no machine in the room. The actual machine was six flights downstairs, so we didn’t use it. I came away with mixed feelings. It wasn’t awful, but I wouldn’t return, and it wasn’t cheap. It’s apparently a 4 star hotel, though it didn’t feel like one.
We loved the food, especially the varied buffet. There were always good options, everything was delicious, and each day brought a new dish. The views were outstanding, the rooms charming, and the staff attentive and very friendly. My husband, son, and I had a great four-night stay. We’ll be back to one of my favorite spots on the Costa Brava.
The location is the best, and the staff were always helpful. Breakfast was great too. We stayed for a couple of nights to relax and had an amazing time. A balcony room facing the beach is worth it, the view from ours was lovely. Be sure to catch the sunrise.
The pool area was nice, and it’s a short walk to the beach. The restaurant gets busy and has plenty of food, but the hot dishes were lukewarm at best. There was just one coffee machine in the mornings, with queues of more than 12 people at times. The bar is expensive.
