Apartamentos San Miguel Park & Esmeralda Mar

The place was so peaceful, with just a short walk to the beach and the nearby cave attraction. Our balcony looked out over the pool, and the room was fantastic. It’s a small, quiet, rural hotel with a family-run feel, and nothing seemed too much trouble. The food was good, there was always plenty, and lots of drinks were included. We were there at the very end of the season and were looked after so well, almost like VIPs as the last guests to leave. The entertainment had eased off as the hotel emptied, but that didn’t spoil our stay. We were sorry to find the kayaks on the beach had already closed when we arrived. A lovely, relaxing break. The hotel had nice family activities and really good entertainment after dinner. The dancers were talented, professional and funny, and we loved them. Food was very nice, especially at dinner, and the beds were unusually comfortable. We booked an all-inclusive October holiday through Love holidays and got a really good price. Breakfast ran until 11, and until 11:30 on Sundays, I think, which was great if you don’t want to rush in the morning. Don’t miss the beautiful view and natural salt cave just 10 minutes behind the place. A must visit.

Dinner was the busiest part of our stay. There was a rush and a queue for food at 7pm, and after eating we could hardly find an outdoor table, so most evenings we sat on our balcony and watched the limited entertainment. The food was good quality but the choice was fairly small, usually one meat and one fish dish, often pizza, and always chips. At breakfast and lunch in late September, it was easy to find a seat and get food. The resort is spread over a large area on Ibiza’s pretty, quiet north side, with a small restaurant and bar, two pools and a great beach. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Restaurant staff worked hard to keep the food stocked and the area clean, as did the bar staff. A few smiles would have been nice, though they were all so busy. For the price, what you get feels fair.

Parking was really difficult, and our renovated room still wasn’t anything special. The two pools were fine, though, and we had a pleasant stay overall. Everything was okay.
