Sandos El Greco

The evening activities at the hotel were so well organised and really enjoyable. It suited my needs perfectly, and I’d absolutely recommend staying here. It is a little far from other things to do, though.

We had a great week at Sandos El Greco. The hotel was very clean, the staff were friendly, and the food was good. Its location worked well for coastal walks, and we hired a car to see more of the area. Parking by the entrance was tight and often full, but reception said we could use the bigger lot farther up the drive. We didn't use the pool, which looked a bit small for the number of loungers and possibly crowded. The bar snacks were tasty, especially the American burger, and came in handy when we missed lunch on busy days. There was a nice range of food in the dining room, though one evening's options didn't suit us. Everything there was self-service, including drinks. We brought a bottle of wine from the fridges to share, and soft drinks, wine and beer were also available on tap. The water bottle refill stations were a great feature, and we used them every day. Our room was roomy, clean and comfortable, with fresh towels available each day if requested. They always arrived by midday. The pillows were too small and thin, and the water pressure was very low. A safe was available for €5, refunded when the key was returned, plus €3 per day. The bar had lots of seating, with entertainment in a separate section, so you could watch or listen without joining in. We never had to queue for a drink. A lovely hotel that I’d recommend.

The beach and sea in this beautiful bay were gorgeous, and Sandos El Greco was a lovely place to stay. The food was fantastic, with loads of choice and great quality and presentation. Restaurant manager Mario and the whole team did a brilliant job: dishes were replenished quickly and tables were cleaned and reset straight away. Our room was kept spotless, and requested fresh towels were always brought by midday. We never had to queue at the bar, even with so many all-inclusive guests. Reception staff were pleasant and helpful, and the mix of nationalities and ages seemed to work well for everyone. Hugo and Sophia led good entertainment. I especially enjoyed the flamenco and gymnastics, as well as the activities they organised, including a hike to a lighthouse. My only gripes were about the hotel's position: few rooms have sea views, and there are lots of shady spots, which I know some people like. The breakfast coffee was far too weak for me! 😂

We used Sandos El Greco as a base for exploring Ibiza, and most places we went were within a 30-minute drive. The hotel is on the island's northwest side, about 25-30 minutes from the airport. Parking was convenient, and nearby restaurants, a pharmacy and a market were all within walking distance. We were there for eight nights to celebrate a friend's 50th birthday, and the all-inclusive package worked well for our group. Our Royal Elite wristbands gave us access to a private lounge with drinks until midnight, plus a reserved stretch of beach with loungers under fig trees and a full-service bar serving snacks during the day. The public beach was beautiful and easy to reach from the good-sized pool. Housekeeping cleaned our spacious room daily, and we liked the little turndown touches, including chocolates around 7 p.m. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it as a comfortable, slightly remote place to stay on Ibiza.
