The staff were genuinely lovely, easily the best part and a full five for me. The food was usually tasty and there was plenty, though a few dishes missed the mark. The location works well, although I can see the nearby beach feeling crowded and too small in high season. The room was nearly a five, but the beds could have been steadier. Service was friendly, but some of the instructions could be clearer: the brochure says internet costs extra even though it's free, and finding things can be confusing until you get used to the place. You can always ask, though.

Good location, and the staff did a good job throughout. The hotel itself feels very dated, and the food was poor enough that we ate elsewhere. Fine for one night, but I wouldn't choose to stay longer.

San Antonio was pleasant, clean, and the people we met were friendly. Many spoke good English for visitors who don't know Spanish. The bay walk takes about 15 minutes, and the views are spectacular. We went just after the season had ended, so lots of places, including other hotels, were shut. Around mid to late October through early March, menus may be limited while places use up what's left, so bear that in mind. There are plenty of boat trips in season. A boat taxi leaves from the jetty outside the hotel when the weather allows, but it isn't connected to the hotel. Strong winds stopped it while we were there. It costs €5 per person each crossing. I'm not sure about the kids' fare, as they charged for my five-year-old one day but not another, while babies seemed to ride free. Worth doing the maths if you're on a budget. We stayed a week at Mar Amantis II. The first impression was of a nice, clean hotel with friendly-looking staff. By the end, it still seemed clean, though it could use some TLC, and the staff were friendly enough. The room was basic but had what we needed: air conditioning, shower, TV, and balcony. The sink plug didn't fit, so we couldn't fill the sink, which mattered with those taps. In my opinion, they were noisy, slow, and pathetic. After looking at the fire escape plan, I'd ask for room 2319 if you can choose. It's on the top floor, right at the end, by itself with no rooms attached. We were okay with our room, but nothing fancy. Apparently Mar Amantis I has upgraded rooms compared with Mar Amantis II. We went all inclusive. The food was actually okay for a three-star hotel, as long as you don't expect anything amazing. Breakfast had the usual continental options plus hot dishes, including streaky bacon, different eggs, and an "English" sausage that was basically a local chippy or hot dog sausage. Lunch and dinner had different themes each day, like Mexican or Chinese. As with buffets, cold food was warm and hot food was cold. Desserts were okay. The included beer, wine, juice, and other drinks were nothing fancy. There was a snack bar, but what we tried was so overcooked we didn't go back. The kids' evening entertainment was okay: a mini "disco" that was just someone playing music, balloon animals, and face painting. I think it started at 8:30. Adult entertainment followed, but we didn't stay because we had a one-year-old. I can't say what it was like, though it was very loud from the floor above. People in first-floor rooms could hear the entertainment through the floor. Thankfully my kids slept through it, as we were out most of the day. It may be quieter on the road side than the "pool" side, but I don't know. If noise bothers you, the top-floor room 2319 seems the best bet. Floors didn't seem to be checked at night. People talked loudly on their way to bed and slammed doors, and someone even played knock and run at 2am. I was beyond furious. There are cameras on each floor, but who knows whether night reception watches them. There's a beach not far from the hotel. It was nice for a day or so, then strong winds brought in a huge amount of seaweed that covered it. They do rake the beach, but I don't know how often or how long clearing that much seaweed takes. I've posted one or two beach photos for comparison.

The food was delicious, and getting into Ibiza town or to the nearby bus station was easy from this well-placed hotel. It was beautiful and very clean, and the staff were kind and respectful. I really enjoyed my vacation here.

Right on the seafront, and a very well placed hotel. The restaurant is a good three-star option, with varied, well-prepared food. Everything was clean, and the staff were very friendly.
