Hesperia Sant Just

I couldn't travel to Barcelona for a work conference after a major snowstorm on the U.S. East Coast caused widespread flight cancellations. I contacted Hesperia Sant Just right away about my booked 3-night stay and asked if they could offer even a basic voucher for another time. They refused any accommodation because the rate was “non-refundable.” Our team has regularly traveled to Barcelona for work and stayed here before. After this, we'll move future corporate bookings elsewhere and advise colleagues to do the same. A policy is one thing, but customer service and common sense matter too, and neither was shown here.

A handy place for business trips, with friendly staff and good amenities. Tourists can stay here too if they don't mind a bit of commuting. The metro is easy to use, and taxis are plentiful.

I had a terrible experience here, with two incidents on the hotel premises and no accountability from the people claiming to be managers. On 30th November 2025, while I was checking in at reception, two other guests stole my belongings. The gentleman and lady who said they were the hotel managers took no responsibility. They showed me no footage and gave me no help filing a police report. The stolen items were worth around 1815.17 EUR. I didn't feel there was any safety for guests. Then on 2nd November 2025, my colleague was bitten all over by bed bugs in room 314. The same gentleman and lady wouldn't take responsibility for the bugs. My colleague is now having medical challenges after being bitten at another Hesperia Hotel in Sant Just, Barcelona, Spain. Both things happened inside hotel premises, yet the managers wouldn't accept responsibility. We're taking this hotel out of our company network because of the lack of safety and hygiene measures and the managers' refusal to take responsibility for bad things that happen to guests.

I spent a week here and saw ZERO security guards the whole time. There was nobody at the door or patrolling. People from outside could walk in and out without being questioned or called back by reception, and could easily reach the elevators. Maybe that's to let the public use the restaurant, but if you're okay with strangers roaming around the premises, that's up to you. Without your own security detail like the football teams, your family or luggage could be at risk. This was the most unsafe stay of my life.
