The hotel is at most a five-minute walk from the beaches and shopping street, and the staff were friendly and willing to help. There was plenty of space around the pools, with lifeguards on duty. Our room was small but adequate, quiet, and had a spacious shower with good water pressure. The beds were comfortable. There’s no tea, coffee or fridge in the room unless you pay extra, and luggage lockers cost €1 per hour. We chose all-inclusive, but the meals repeated every day and didn’t suit us, so we went out for breakfast and dinner each night.

We had a great time, and the staff were all really friendly. They spoke pretty good English too, which was helpful if you don’t know the local language. The rooms were tidied well every day. There are two pools, one deep and one shallow, with a bar nearby, although both felt a bit small. There were three of us in the room, which felt cramped. It also got noisy in the mornings and at night, with talking in the hall and furniture moving. The beds were comfortable. The shower was unreliable and didn’t always work, but when it did, the water was hot and the pressure was good. The air conditioning was loud, with a cricket-like sound whenever it was switched on. We had some trouble with the food: two of us got stomach problems one day, we found a caterpillar in a salad once, and the eggs were undercooked on some days.

Kevin behind the bar was great, funny, hardworking and always upbeat. The service would have been a 4/5 because of him. The food wasn’t anything special, though the sushi was a nice touch, and the hotel is well placed for the beach and nearby facilities. Our first room had no working air conditioning, and cockroaches came out of the shower tap. We managed to change rooms within a day, but only after a difficult argument with the woman at reception.

We were lucky enough to get what we thought was the best room in the hotel, with its own terrace and sun loungers, so we didn’t have to get up early to claim a spot. In peak season, though, I’d put a towel out early if I wanted a day by the pool. The pool is a little small for four hotel blocks. The location is excellent, the staff were friendly, and there’s a good choice of all-inclusive drinks. Cocktails are available, but the only one was piña colada. The vodka slush was my go-to. I also really enjoyed the daytime aqua gym. There wasn’t any evening entertainment at the hotel that I could find. The food selection was small, but I could always find something I liked. There was plenty of fresh fruit and pastries at the pool bar during the day. Breakfast starts at 8am, later than at some hotels, and lunch is at 1pm. I think dinner was at 8pm, but the day got away from me, so don’t quote me on that. The transfer from Palma took about an hour and a half, and check-in was quick, easy and informative, with a friendly receptionist. It’s a budget-friendly hotel in a great location, and it made for a perfect little girls’ trip. I’d come back.
