Bimbolla Apartaments

Punta Prima itself is beautiful, and I've visited many times, but I wouldn't stay at Bimbolla Apartments again. The outside looks all right, while inside it's grubby and dated, with furniture that's falling apart. The TV was supposed to have international channels, but I only got Spanish cartoons and radio. The WiFi was erratic, and the staff were okay when they were around, though not very helpful. Anyone with mobility issues should avoid it: the tiled paths are steep and poorly lit at night. It wasn't cheap or cheerful.

The pools seemed clean and well maintained, and the communal spaces were tidy and free of litter. Reception staff were really helpful, and the staff overall were friendly and helpful. We also got a small welcome pack with dish soap and similar basics. The apartment was good value for the price, especially given it was an EasyJet budget holiday, so it more than met expectations. There were a couple of downsides: the apartment wasn't cleaned during our stay, and a loose socket we reported was addressed. The hilly site has lots of steps, so it wasn't very wheelchair friendly. A downstairs apartment near reception at the top of the site might have been manageable, though.

The place was quiet and peaceful, with a big balcony, comfy beds, plenty of space to hang clothes and air conditioning included. We had a slight sea view, and there was lots of parking out front on a very quiet road. The receptionist was friendly and helpful, and even called to say our apartment was ready. The location worked really well, just up the hill from the beach and restaurants. We visited in early June, outside the school holidays, and paid around 75 euros a night. The kitchen had limited equipment, but making toast, coffee and sandwiches was easy, which was all we wanted. We were only there for two days and didn't try the pool, though it looked nice. We loved these light, airy apartments and would definitely come back.

These basic apartments have a nice pool and are decently equipped with the usual amenities for the price. They're well placed for the beach and some local restaurants. The beds were really uncomfortable, though, and left my neck and back aching the whole time. I also thought it was odd to pay a deposit to rent a hairdryer. There's no supermarket nearby, so a car is a must, at least based on our late March visit. Maybe that's different in the main holiday season.
