Brisas De Anaga

We stayed for a few days in January and found the place beautiful, with everything we needed. The host was nice, and the beach is nearby. It’s quite far from most activities on the island, so you need a car. Highly recommend this place.

A clean, small apartment with good Wi-Fi and a nice, quiet feel. It’s a bit off the beaten track, though the main village and beach are only a 10-15 minute walk away. The windows look out over the local football field.

We had such a good time that this was our third year coming back. The host is welcoming and available if you need anything. The apartment sleeps four and feels spacious and elegant. It’s quiet enough to sleep well, yet only a five-minute walk from beautiful Playa de las Teresitas and close to the center of San Andrés, with grocery shops and lots of seafood restaurants. From the terrace, the view is wonderful. The kitchen is well equipped, and there’s a washing machine, TV, and Wi-Fi, though the signal is poor.

The apartments are quite large, and the area is peaceful with a great location. Unfortunately, that’s about all I can praise. There was no Wi-Fi in the room, and the terrace door lock was broken and wouldn’t lock. The bathroom light was very dim. We noticed a strong urine smell from the bathroom as soon as we entered, and it took two days to go away. The kitchen cupboards smelled musty, and the kitchen was poorly equipped. A larger knife would help, and a toaster would make breakfast easier. The owner speaks only Spanish and didn’t seem to try to communicate in another language. She wasn’t very friendly or welcoming. It felt like she had a monopoly on local accommodation and wasn’t willing to spend the few dozen euros needed to fix these problems. I’d gladly have stayed somewhere else nearby, but there wasn’t another option.
