Tenerife Experience Hostel

Friendly staff were one of the few good points, but I wouldn’t stay again. The hostel felt lifeless, with no events, music, or atmosphere, and the photos implying a community vibe seemed misleading. It’s also a long walk from the city center and places of interest. The rooms miss basic comforts: there are no personal reading lights, and the bunks are designed so you can’t sit up on the lower bed without hitting your head. The bathrooms were uncomfortable and poorly maintained. No bins under the sinks meant rubbish collected there, and the unlabeled sinks confused at least one guest, who thought they were broken and used the kitchen sink instead. There were no hand towels, fixtures and locks stayed broken for days, and bad shower drainage often flooded the floor outside, making it unsafe. The kitchen was frustrating too. There was no hot water, the pans were worn out, and basic supplies like tea and sugar were missing even though their containers were there. Storage was limited and impractical. Overall, it’s clearly gone downhill, and there are much better hostels in Tenerife. I wouldn’t recommend it.
