For the price, this is a solid option. The apartment is large and clean, though it’s in an older building and noise carries badly enough that you can hear someone coughing. The city center location is good.

Our parents stayed here for three nights and were pleased with the apartment. It was clean, comfortable, and had everything they needed. A very good choice for the price.

The Wi-Fi barely worked and the connection was weak. There were ants in the kitchen and bathroom, and they sometimes made it into the room. The owner provided spray while I was there, but it didn’t solve the problem. After I left a low rating on Booking, the owner tracked me down on social media and posted negative reviews on my private poetry channel. It felt like he couldn’t take constructive criticism. I reported it all to Booking and sent screenshots and other details.

The area is quiet and makes a handy base for walking around central Santa Cruz. The apartment has what you need, and the host is friendly and entertaining. I also liked being able to order a menu to the room through the owner.
