The only real positives were the central location and free parking on nearby streets. Apartment 68 on the sixth floor was advertised as a double superior apartment, but the quality was poor throughout. The beds felt like a bag of stones. After three nights, our backs, necks, and legs hurt. There was a sickening smell from the pipes at the kitchen sink and shower. It got worse over our three-day stay and seemed to come from a building-wide sewage problem. You could smell it by the elevator and at the apartment entrance, too. It was over 30 degrees Celsius inside, with no air conditioning. Leaving the windows open all day didn’t help. We asked reception for help, and on the second day they brought a basic electric fan. It did little to cool the room, especially at night when we were trying to sleep. At the end of our stay, we filed a formal complaint through the 'hoja de reclamaciones'. We felt scammed, having paid for a place that fell below basic hospitality standards.

There was a very loud party in the building on our last night, and it went on late. With no one at reception overnight, there was nothing we could do. The kitchen didn’t even have basics like oil or salt, so you’re paying for a kitchen you can’t use. The receptionist is always on the phone, and I couldn’t get to speak with anyone. Very bad.

It worked well enough, but didn’t feel like a holiday. We were in a residential area, a walk from the old town, and parking was a problem. Our room wasn’t serviced for most of the stay.

The apartments are bright, clean, and really nice, and the service was friendly and helpful. Just be aware that, despite what the homepage says, there’s no cleaning service for long stays.
