The rooms were nice, especially the showers, and the spa looked lovely, though we didn't get to try it. The pool wasn't really usable for swimming: it's tiny and very shallow, which isn't clear from the photos. The two staff members we met were both kind and tried to help, but they were covering their roles alone, so we felt a bit abandoned. It wasn't their fault, and both seemed sorry about it. Having a dedicated receptionist seems necessary. When we arrived, the reception was empty and the door was shut. We had to call several times before someone came to check us in. The girl who arrived was really nice and did her best, but she wasn't a receptionist and couldn't explain why our bill was wrong. We were leaving early, and at 8 am the reception and the rest of the hotel were empty, with no one answering our calls. Eventually we ran into the girl apparently in charge of reception. She was also kind and helpful, and explained she was handling breakfast on her own and had to go prepare it. So we couldn't properly check out or sort out the bill then, though it was dealt with and corrected later without any issue.
